Cara to honor philanthropists Dona and Sam Scott

Cara is pleased to honor philanthropists and civic leaders Dona and Sam Scott at the upcoming Cara Gala presented by JPMorgan Chase & Co. on Friday, April 27, 2018.

The Scotts will receive the Trailblazer Award for their commitment to providing jobs and opportunities to individuals searching for real and lasting success.

“Dona and Sam Scott are a philanthropic powerhouse who epitomize the spirit of our mission,” says Maria Kim, Cara’s President and CEO. “Their commitment to education, employment, and progress in communities that have been historically marginalized is just one measure of how deeply anchored they are in the fight for social justice. What’s more, their innate ability to use their influence, and frankly their charm, to pressure forces across sectorial lines for the betterment of all is exactly the type of energy Chicago needs to reestablish itself as a truly world class city.”

Jo & Alexi Giannoulias and Alison Victoria & Michael Marks will serve as co-chairs for the Cara Gala. The evening event will once again take place at Morgan Manufacturing located at 401 N. Morgan Street in the Fulton Market area of Chicago. With more than 500 expected attendees, the Cara Gala promises to be an unforgettable evening. “This party with a purpose is one for the ages,” adds Kim. “We feel incredibly fortunate to share this evening with our community of influencers and partners.”
