Create resumes with students based on strengths and experience they articulate; Hold resume review sessions to verify information together and make stylistic tweaks, Create cover letter templates with students; Edit resumes and cover letters for errors; Create LinkedIn Profiles with students; Conduct social media reviews to discuss what a student’s overall online presence might signal to employers and provide suggestions accordingly.


Interview Coach

For communication gurus, theatre directors, and those adept at drawing out innate interpersonal skills through conversation.

Teach and practice effective interviewing techniques, administer mock interviews, provide feedback. Teach basic interviewing skills; Provide practice by conducting mock interviews onsite, offsite, or via telecommunication; Conduct video recorded mock interviews and watch together to discuss body language and overall presentation; Review interview answers and presentation in Interview Review Sessions.

Career Coach

For personal trainers, cheerleaders, and positive-minded strategists with the energy for an uphill climb and a knack for persistent follow-up.

Guide self-directed job search, building on assigned position verticals, help to generate a healthy number of appropriate applications, offer advice on creating a career path and networking. Conduct Job Search Strategy Sessions; Assist in verifying job applications; Send letters of recommendation; Offer side-by-side job search support in the computer lab.
